Up until a few years ago all I knew about Gabrielle Roy was that a school close to my house was named after her and that her name showed up on the twenty dollar bill but since then I've read The Road Past Altamonte and for the past few months I've wondered if Gabrielle Roy can be considered a diasporic author?
